Ebook reader exclusive
The new Samsung E65 ereader is now on sale exclusively at Curry's and PC World for ?199, for anyone who's perhaps looking for an alternative to the Kindle.
We've already reviewed its brother, Samsung's E60 ebook reader, so this is the company's latest attempt to enter into the ereader market; here's the full low-down on the other model.
The key tech with the Samsung E65 is its ability to give users multi-purpose functionality - rather like a swiss army knife, but without the tool for getting stones out of horses hooves.
This multi-functionality includes the ability to read, write and "organise".
As the blurb reads: "An integrated pen, which allows free handwriting and has a truly natural writing feel, makes this a really versatile and fun to use gadget.? Not only is it an e-reader, but it can also be used as a datebook, notebook and diary.? In addition, books, newspapers and images can be modified directly on screen with post-it style memos". ?
You'll also get a huge library courtesy of WH Smith, and with over a million books to choose from there should be enough choice to keep you going for some time.
The screen should be nice and clear, as the 6-incher get an eight level grey scale LCD screen and utilises the E-Ink tech. A built-in mp3 player, 2GB memory, full QWERTY, USB and Wi-Fi connectivity round off the package.
