Micro-blogging service awash with complaints
If you were planning on calling up your relatives to check the Christmas travel arrangements on Skype, then tough-luck as the VoIP service has been down for the last half hour or so (as of 17:20 UK time).
Twitter is buzzing with Skype complaints and #skype is currently trending worldwide.
The official Skype Twitter account has just tweeted:
"Some of you may have problems signing in to Skype – we’re investigating, and we’re sorry for the disruption to your conversations".
In the meantime, people (including the Pocket-lint) team are having to resort to using old fashioned communication methods like emailing. It's all very 1999.
